DAPS to hold open house
The Documents Automation & Production Service (DAPS) has relocated to bldg 56 Area B and will host an open house 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 11. Everyone is invited to attend.
Alumni Association plan Reunion
To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Space Age, the NASIC Alumni Association, in conjunction with its 2007 Annual Meeting Oct. 26 at the Hope Hotel & Conference Center will hold a Reunion of all employees who worked on space analysis since Sputnik I.
Family members are invited.
Dr. Tom Crouch, noted author, authority on the Wright Brothers and curator at the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian, will be the luncheon speaker.

Engineers’ club to hold luncheon
The Kittyhawk Post of the Society of American Military Engineers’ monthly luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m.. to 1 p.m. Sept 20 at the Hope Hotel and Conference Center, St. Rt. 444 and Gate 12A, just off base.
The guest speaker is Eric Hensley, Project Manager for Columbus Regional Airport Authority, on “Overview the Development of the Rickenbacker International Airport, formerly Rickenbacker Air Force Base in Columbus.

88th ABW closed Labor Day weekend
The 88th Air Base Wing front office will be closed Aug. 31 through Sept. 3 in observance of Labor Day. For emergencies during those dates, contact the Command Center at 257-6314.
Munitions Storage Area to close
The Munitions Storage Area will be closed the week of Sept. 10 to Sept. 14 for our Base stock Inventory. Please contact 7-7510 if you have any questions.
NCO’s and promotees to be honored
All base personnel are highly encouraged to attend the Team Wright-Patt NCO Induction and Promotion Ceremony at 3 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Wright-Patt Club and Banquet Center.
The ceremony will honor the base’s newest noncommissioned officers and military promotees for the month of July. Contact your Unit First Sergeant with any questions.
It’s happening at the Commissary
The Wright Patterson Commissary will be open Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 3.They will also have an equipment change out on the Sept. 4 and 5 so there maybe a minimal number of bakery items.
If the items you are looking for are not available please ask a manager and they will do their best to get what you need. Finally the Commissary will hold its fall Case-lot sale Sept. 28, 29, and 30.
88 MSS/DPC closure announced
The Civilian Personnel Flight (88 MSS/DPC) located in Area C, Building 2, will be closed at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 5 to attend an official office function.
AFIT/AFRL Library schedule changes
The AFIT/AFRL Library will be closed Sept. 3 in observance of Labor Day.
Then effective Sept. 8 the AFIT/AFRL Library will operate under the following reduced hours during the academic fall break: Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday 7:30 to 5 p.m.; and closed Saturday and Sunday. Normal hours of operation will return Oct. 1.

Conference for women veterans
The Governor’s Advisory Committee on Women Veterans and the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System of Ohio will host the 2nd annual 2007 Ohio Women Veterans’ Conference with several phenomenal speakers and a provided lunch 10 a.m. Oct. 20. Registration will begin at 8 a.m.
The conference is conducted to provide information and resources to our women veterans.
Information booths will be set up and open to attendees throughout the conference. The event will allow us to recognize and honor the attendees for their service to our country and for protecting our freedoms.

Pass and Registration services in Bldg. 286 closed for power outage
Pass and Registration will be closed Aug. 31 for the AFMC Family Day.
Everyone is highly encouraged to make prior arrangements for entry of guests the week before, if arrangements are unable to be made, the entry controllers on duty will be able to provide passes as necessary.
Gate 12A visitor center closed
As a reminder, the Area A Visitor Control Center adjacent to Gate 12A has closed and consolidated operations into the Pass and Registration in Bldg 286. To better serve our customers, Pass and Registration has extended its business hours: Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Area B Visitor Center remains open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Customer service training offered to active duty military spouses
A major employer will be interviewing qualified active duty spouses for training of customer service representatives, who will work from their homes and be able to move their job with them as they PCS.

G Street and K Street closures
Upgrades to the ADP UPS & Cooling lines in Area B will begin Aug. 20 and will last through Aug. 31. K Street will be closed from Aug. 27 to Aug. 31.
Detours will be posted. During K Street closure, G Street will be the detour. Access to parking lots will be maintained.

Motorists asked to use caution near NASIC construction site
As part of the ongoing National Air and Space Intelligence Center construction project, the realignment of the Communications Boulevard and San Antonio intersection will last through Saturday.
The roadways will be open to traffic, but the sidewalk on the north side of Communications Boulevard will be closed in the area. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the south side.
Motorists should exercise caution to safely negotiate this already tight turn. Call Doug Hulings, project manager, at 656-3593 or Randy Brown, design manager, at 656-3581.
Steam pipe construction, Lot 3A driveway closure announced
Replacement of the steam pipe along the west side of San Antonio Avenue will last through Sept. 10. This construction will require the closure of the driveway accessing parking lot 3A (area to the north of Bldg. 280 and south of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center) from San Antonio Avenue.
Vehicles exiting parking lot 3A will need to use the driveway access to Oklahoma City Street. For more information call Doug Hulings, project manager, at 656-3593 or Brad Gale, design manager, at 656-3436.
MPF closures announced
The military personnel flight will close all day Aug. 31. To schedule an appointment for a common access card, log on to https://cacscheduler. wpafb.af. mil/index/asp. For an appointment for a dependent/retiree ID card, log on to https://mpf.wpafb. af. mil/ index. asp. You can only access these sites from a Department of Defense network.
Personnel record changes announced
All outstanding personnel records need to be returned to the military personnel flight by Sept. 14 in order for MPF to prepare for electronic conversion. The last day to check out a personnel record at MPF will be Sept. 7.
Members may continue reviewing their personnel records up until their shipment (late November/early December).
Record of performances for officers will continue to be maintained at Wright-Patterson and may be checked out as normal.
